The Power in We Paradigm
A paradigm is defined as: A set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices that constitutes a way of viewing reality for the community that shares them.
The word "WE" means unity. It implies togetherness, agreement, and connection. It is the word used when we want to make two or more people become one in purpose, action, etc.
The Power in We Paradigm is therefore a way of viewing reality in terms of our connection with other human beings and with the universe and the power that exists within it.
There are three key concepts that define this paradigm:
- We are all the same.
- We are all different.
- We are all a team.
We are all the same: We are all inherently equal in value, significance, and potential as divine offspring; no one more or less important than another. We all have a mortal mission and purpose to fulfill. We all have strengths and weaknesses. We all have free agency. We all make mistakes. We all want to have joy and peace in our lives.
The power in this is that we can believe our own significance and at the same time we can appreciate the significance of others. We can be confident and powerful without being egotistical or oppressive. We can better understand one another, and we can empathize and forgive more easily. We are empowered by our personal rights and responsibilities. We can learn to connect at a deeper level with humanity and deity as we recognize our sameness and equality.
We are all different: We are all unique with special gifts and talents and differing ideas, abilities, and opinions. Even our outward appearances are different adding variety and beauty to the world. Even though we are all in the same boat, we all have unique and differing roles to play in the grand plan of life.
The power in this is that we can begin to appreciate these differences rather than using them to judge others or ourselves. Then we can really move toward achieving our full potential. Jealousy is replaced by gratitude as we begin to see that we all benefit from each other's uniqueness of talents, ideas, etc. We become more tolerant and appreciative. We can cooperate and work together as intended like pieces of a giant puzzle--each filling their specific place in order to create the masterpiece.
We are all a team: We are a team with one another and with a Higher Power. We are all significant parts of the grand design of the universe connected through divine birthright as immortal beings having a mortal experience together. Through the guidance of our Higher Power, we fulfill our destiny and purpose while also helping others to do the same.
The power in this is that we see that we are all instruments in God's hands, that what is needed is for us to be who we were intended to be, and that the universe essentially is working in our behalf to help us reach our full potential and realize our life's purpose. We become empowered and motivated to contribute or to do our part by reaching out, by sharing our talents and gifts, and by being our true selves.
It is important to note that this paradigm is not the creation of one person, but rather it is divine wisdom that has been shared with us throughout all of time in art, history, philosophy, religion, etc. It is merely arranged here in a simple and easy to understand format.
Deciding to live it is not an act of learning something new. It only takes a willingness to remember and honor what we already know is true deep in our souls. And once we do that, we can find unlimited joy, power, and peace with one another and within ourselves.
